Artwork celebrating wildlife is showcased in the Art of the Rainforest exhibit at the Mt. SAC Art Gallery until May 8.

The Art of the Rainforest Exhibit in the Mt. SAC art gallery will be disappearing soon to make room for the 60th Anniversary Student Art Exhibit.
Students, faculty, and staff only have until May 8 to experience the dynamic, vivid beauty of the rainforest captured by flatwork paintings and sculptures.
May 27 marks the date when the gallery will host the Student Art Exhibition. The exhibit will showcase fine arts, including paintings, drawings, sculpture, ceramics; and other mediums of art, including photography, animation, and illustration, assistant to the director of the gallery Cindy Orr said.
Orr also said that on average, 100 pieces of original art are featured each year from 60-80 art, animation, and photography students.
The 60th Anniversary Student Art Exhibit is the last of the semester. The artist reception will be held May 22 from 4-6 p.m. and opens free to the public May 27 and runs through June 12. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday evenings from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
