+++++++++

While moving around sport-to-sport taking a look at each of the respective programs, it's safe to say that Mt. SAC athletics is fun to watch (I said it before and I'll say it again). Could it be because that all the teams are doing so well that I might be biased of what I say? You might be right in thinking that, but like all students who are either attending Mt. SAC or part of Mt. SAC, it's difficult to be unbiased. As an editor, I would have to speak on the negatives, but you know what, I don't see negatives with any program so allow me to rant and update on what's happening.

MEN'S WATER POLO

Big kudos to men's water polo coach Marc Ruh for a great job with the squad thus far. Freshman Mikey Edwards is a must-see for spectators as well as Matt Escobar and goalie Andrew Romero for their offensive and defensive contributions. Ruh's supporting cast is surrounded comprised of quality role players and will be on close watch as weeks go by.

FOOTBALL

The Mt. SAC defense successfully pushed enough weight to get a one-point victory over Pasadena at Pasadena with a 26-25 victory Oct. 13. This will undoubtedly be a confident move forward for the team as the season carries on.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

Women's soccer coach Melinda Bowen keeps the ship steady and stable. With the Mounties' win against first place Long Beach on Oct. 12, the momentum shifts in the right direction at the right time in which a possible conference placing in first is very possible.
